An integrative approach to therapy and healing looks at the whole person, and combines mainstream techniques with complementary and alternative practices to bring healing to all areas of one's life.
The body and mind speak to us in many ways, one of which is symptoms, or noticing something in our body or mind that is not quite like ourselves. These symptoms are asking for acknowledgment. Without attention, they tend to increase. The discomfort we experience is a guide post leading to an inward journey of discovery. Many times we don't cultivate a deep relationship with Self unless there is a need.
Going deeper into self exploration leads to a feeling of wholeness and an inner knowing of what our next steps are in life. Only when we clear the clutter of what no longer serves us do we hear our selves loud and clear. We have the ability to move through difficulty with less discomfort and pain when we have support and allow the process to unfold. Healing asks for time and attention, when we give ourselves this compassion we walk through discomfort and come out on the other side with a stronger connection and a deeper relationship with Self.
Healing holistically means connecting with mind, body and spirit. Shifting aspects of life to match what meets your needs, desires and values helps bring clarity to situations that once lacked transparency. There is a natural rhythm to all things, healing is no different. Tapping into this innate cadence allows healing to happen more quickly than with resistance. Accepting we are emotional beings sets the tone for compassion which allows our natural healing process to flourish.
